How to Package Live Cured Flower

Our beautifully preserved flower is available in various quantities and packaging options, but what stands out the most is our large bud eighths. Our large bud eighths are carefully hand-crafted and contain only the top colas from the plant. The extensive measures taken to achieve this level of quality surpass industry standards for preserving these delicate flowers. Let’s delve into the final steps required to deliver such a flawless product.

The meticulous presentation of our Live Cured Flower begins with the sorting process initiated during the harvest.

The careful selection of buds for sorting enables us to efficiently dry and cure each bud to perfection, providing an advantage during the final sorting phase.

Before the last sorting step, each bud undergoes a detailed quality control inspection and is manicured as necessary by our skilled crew. These perfectly dried and styled buds are then stored for the final sorting.

Once inspected for perfection, each bud undergoes a stringent sorting process where they are weighed individually and micro-sorted to the hundredth of a gram.

The buds are meticulously separated by weight into containers and stored. These containers hold the flower awaiting testing for a Certificate of Analysis (COA). The COA, obtained from a state-authorized lab, is crucial for confirming the product’s safety for consumption. Rigorous tests are conducted for microbials, heavy metals, pesticides, and the cannabinoids present in the flower. Without the COA, we cannot distribute our flower to our network of retailers.

The sampling stage for testing is straightforward. A representative from one of the labs visits our facility, takes a sample representing the overall batch, and brings it back to their lab for extensive testing. Once the flower passes all tests, it proceeds to the next stage for final packaging.

During the final packaging phase, data from the COA test is utilized to create our Terpene Compass for labels. This visual representation displays the terpene composition in each cultivar, making it easy to understand the quantities of each terpene in relation to one another. The COA data is also used to list the total THC, CBD, and cannabinoids on our labels.

Once materials are printed, we proceed to assemble the eighths. Sorted flower containers are set up on packaging tables, with the aim of creating 1-3 bud eighths for our large bud flower. The micro-sorting simplifies the process, allowing us to quickly hand-assemble eighths using simple math. We guarantee the bud count in every large bud eighth, so we take this process very seriously. The completed eighths are sealed with tamper-evident seals and capped with child-resistant lids.

The sealed jars move down the production line, where removable sleeves and labels are applied by hand. The recyclable paper sleeve protects the flower from UV light while allowing a full view of the buds when slid down. Our labels provide comprehensive information about the cultivar, including the bud count for each eighth, and cannabinoid testing information.

The finalized eighth is now prepared for packaging in sets of 32. These packaged eighths constitute the shipments sent to each of our retailers. Once securely sealed, the boxed eighths are transferred to a secured storage area, awaiting delivery. Due to our harvest-to-order approach and a commitment to maintaining a minimal inventory, the stored flowers swiftly move out for delivery across California.

Recognizing that premium flower comes at a cost, our aim is to ensure that every time you purchase Curated Cannabis, you take home the perfect eighth. We aspire to bring you closer to the cultivation process, allowing you to witness the same aspects we do during the harvest. Hopefully, this sheds light on the dedication our team invests in delivering high-quality Live Cured Flower
