Curated Cannabis started five years ago in the SoCal Sesh Scene, back in 2017. Since then, it has evolved into a licensed cannabis processor, manufacturer, and distributor whose products are available across California. Through it all, Curated Cannabis’s sole collective focus is to bring people closer to cannabis flower by preserving the freshest flowers in peak bloom and sharing their perspectives. It’s pretty much the only thing they can agree on.
The co-founders, Will Sun and Christian Manrodt, couldn’t be more different. The two of them met through a mutual friend who connected them based on their shared work in the cannabis industry. Will owned and operated a cultivation facility, and Christian had experience with cannabis extractions and managed a cannabis delivery service. Christian designed Curated’s logo and Will designed the Terpene Compass. Although both have been cannabis enthusiasts for over 20 years, they each have a different approach to the same mission.
It wasn’t very long after the initial meeting that they decided to team up and build their own cannabis collective with a delivery service. After they came together, Will and Christian became weekly vendors at major Los Angeles cannabis seshes: Terp Market, Friday Night Sesh, and Secret Sesh.
Today, Curated Cannabis remains an independent, employee-owned-and-operated cannabis company. As a fully independent company, Curated benefits from having complete and full creative freedom. They are able to develop cannabis products that highlight the natural aspects of the flower, without compromise by combining modern methods and traditional processes.
Cannabis flower is a product of both nature and nurture. This means every cultivar out there has a defining set of characteristics that are determined by the plant’s lineage. It is this set of attributes that separates one cultivar from another, in addition to establishing the standard by which every variety of cannabis is measured; how the flower should look, smell, and taste.
The entire focus is on the perfect preservation of cannabis flower that is true to form. They measure the quality of their flower against the best possible version of itself, rather than based on the flower everyone else has. Inherently, the best cannabis flower is consistent, staying the same across every jar, because it meets these strict standards. Curated publishes its standards for each harvest batch and their signatures are found on every eighth-ounce jar. We prioritize quality at any cost.
